    Today’s travel brands exist at the epicentre of an exciting new eco system. The wellness industry today is worth an estimated $4.2tn dollars, of which “wellness tourism” currently equates to $639bn. What’s more, wellness tourism is growing twice as quickly as tourism expenditure in general, that’s an annual growth of 14%!

    Travel is the antidote to the frenetic, fast moving roller coaster of the digitised 21st century. No other industry is better placed to capture this explosion of need. ILTM 2018 marks the launch of ILTM’s Year of Health and Wellness, kicking off in the French Riviera in Cannes. ILTM will launch research and gather a community of wellness experts that all draw the same conclusion; in the future, all travel is wellness travel, every trip is expected to enhance the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the traveller, transformation is the very promise of travel, and today’s travel brands are the solution to one of the biggest problems of our age.

    Through learning and experiences, we aim to provide practical advice for travel brands about how to bridge the gap between promise and delivery. To provide opportunities for travel brands to fully immerse themselves in the world our luxury consumers now inhabit, to reimagine traditional ‘spa and wellness’ offerings breaking out of venues and disjointed piece-meal treatments, and learning how to fully integrate a message of wellness into our brands.

  • Anna Bjurstam, Founding Board Member of the Global Wellness Summit and VP of Spas and Wellness for Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas

    Anna Bjurstam is considered one of the world’s leading wellness pioneers. Anna is a founding board member of the Global Wellness Summit since 1996, Corporate Council Member of Harvard University Department of Environmental Health, is co-chairing the Global Wellness Institute’s “Wellness Communities” bringing together stakeholders with interests in residential communities and holistic health. She is also a sought-after presenter and speaker as well as adviser. Together with her hands-on expertise, through in-depth studies in everything from fitness, yoga, meditation and healing together with a Master Degree of Science in Finance, she is considered to be one of the leaders and pioneers in the wellness industry.

    In her talk, Anna will provide a succinct overview of wellness and its application in the luxury travel industry, allowing you to embrace wellness in your brand.


  • Dan Buettner, Founder of Blue Zones

    Dan Buettner is an explorer, National Geographic Fellow, award-winning journalist and producer, and New York Times bestselling author. He discovered the five places in the world – dubbed Blue Zones™ – where people live the longest, healthiest lives. His articles about these places in The New York Times Magazine and National Geographic are two of the most popular for both publications. Buettner now works in partnership with municipal governments, large employers, and health insurance companies to implement Blue Zones Projects in communities, workplaces, and universities. These projects are wellbeing initiatives that apply lessons from the Blue Zones to entire communities by focusing on changes to the local environment, public policy, and social networks. The program has dramatically improved the health of over 5 million Americans to date.

    In his talk, Dan will share how you can bring Blue Zones to your own business or brand, including the likes of hotel rooms, restaurant menus or travel itineraries.


  • Julien Paccaud, Founder of Ecologie du corps

    When Julien was French national Barefoot Water Ski Champion in 1992, he discovered the power of Osteopathy as an athlete. Thus, he became an osteopath in 2000 and has, since then, owned his own clinic in Neuilly sur seine. Paccaud helps athletes with their performance, including European tour pro golfers, polo players, and water skiers. He started public speaking 10 years ago when he founded his company "Body Ecology" (which in French means "Ecologie du corps"). The purpose of his work with Ecologie du corps is to help people understand how they can efficiently stay in great shape – both in body and mind. By using the science of posturology, he is able to change the awareness of your posture at work. Since 2019, he has also been serving as a health advisor for Chanel where he is in charge of their health prevention campaign.

    In his talk, Empower Your Posture and Mind, Julien will explore how you can minimize the impacts of your posture and bring more energy to your life.
